SHOP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Welcome to the BarrettStacey Accounting Shop. By purchasing our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. REGISTRATION FEE
- A one-time registration fee of £35+VAT applies to all new customers upon their first purchase if you are purchasing a service. If you are simply downloading a template or signing up for our VA Program a registration fee does not apply.
- Existing customers are exempt from this registration fee and may proceed with service selection without any additional onboarding charges.
- This registration fee covers account setup and administrative onboarding and AML Compliance Checks to ensure a smooth start.
2. SERVICE SELECTION
- Each service listed in our shop is provided on a monthly basis unless otherwise specified as a one-off service.
- For services that require extended durations (e.g., VAT returns, annual accounts), clients are responsible for selecting the correct duration to cover their requirements. Please review each service description carefully to ensure you select the appropriate number of months.
3. ONBOARDING AND ONGOING CONTRACT
- New customers will be onboarded as clients following their first purchase and payment of the registration fee.
- Once onboarded, all ongoing services will be provided on a recurring monthly basis unless specified as a one-off service at the time of purchase.
- This ongoing contract will remain active until cancelled by the client, subject to the cancellation terms outlined below.
4. CANCELLATION POLICY
- Clients wishing to cancel an ongoing monthly service must provide 45 days’ notice in writing.
- The 45-day notice period allows for the completion of any outstanding work and ensures a seamless transition.
- If no cancellation notice is given, services will continue as scheduled, and monthly payments will remain due.
5. SPECIFIC SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
Some services require extended timeframes to comply with regulatory standards:
- VAT Returns: VAT returns are typically filed quarterly. Clients requiring VAT support for a full quarter should purchase three months of services.
- Annual Accounts: Annual accounts cover a complete financial year. Clients needing annual accounts preparation should purchase 12 months of service for full compliance.
6. SERVICE START DATE
- Start date for each service will be at the time of purchase.
- BarrettStacey Accounting will commence services on the start date. If you are a new client we will need to onboard you and contact your accountant for professional clearance. If you don't have a previous accountant, you are a new start up we will not need to get a professional clearance from your previous accountant.
- To request adjustments to the start date, clients should contact us immediately after purchase; changes may not be possible once services have begun.
7. SERVICE DELIVERY AND CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- BarrettStacey Accounting will provide services based on the scope defined at the time of purchase.
- Clients are responsible for providing necessary documentation and information by specified deadlines. Delays in document submission may impact the quality and timing of service delivery. Additional Fees will apply if we need to chase you for information.
8. EXTENSIONS AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES
- Clients may extend services or add additional months by purchasing more time as needed. We recommend purchasing sufficient months upfront for uninterrupted service.
9. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
- Services purchased through our shop are non-refundable.
- Clients may cancel services at any time, but no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of a service month.
- If BarrettStacey Accounting is unable to deliver a service due to unforeseen circumstances, we will work with clients on alternative solutions or adjustments.
10. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
- BarrettStacey Accounting is not liable for any delays, missed deadlines, or inaccuracies resulting from a client’s failure to provide necessary documentation on time.
- Our liability is limited to delivering the services as outlined in the purchase agreement.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
12. AMENDMENTS
BarrettStacey Accounting reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. Continued use of the shop after changes constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
